Farmers State Bank SMS Messaging Terms of Service

Farmers State Bank (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides SMS text messaging services to communicate with our customers. By enrolling in and using our SMS messaging service, you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read these Terms carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By opting in to our SMS messaging program, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy (https://www.farmersebank.com/Privacy). If you do not agree, do not enroll in or use the SMS service.

2. Eligibility

The SMS program is available only to existing Farmers State Bank customers with active accounts who are 18 years of age or older and who provide a valid mobile phone number.

3. Description of Service

Our SMS program may include:

  • Account-related alerts (e.g., balance updates, fraud alerts, payment reminders)

  • Customer service messages

  • Promotional or marketing offers

Message frequency will vary depending on your account activity and services selected.

4. Consent to Communications

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from Farmers State Bank at the number provided. Consent is not required as a condition of opening or maintaining an account.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Farmers State Bank is not responsible for charges billed by your carrier.

6. Opt-Out Instructions

You may cancel SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying “STOP” to any message, or

  • Contacting us directly at: 406-642-3431.

After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message stating you have been unsubscribed.

8. Privacy

9. Service Limitations

Delivery of messages is subject to your carrier’s network availability and may be delayed or impacted by factors outside of our control. Farmers State Bank is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farmers State Bank is not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from your use of the SMS messaging program, including delivery failures or technical issues.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the SMS program at any time, with or without notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update or change these Terms at any time.
